Here’s what the Ustar people packed into their mini modeller’s tool kit – the kit I bought for the pair of plastic nippers inside. I’ll show you why today was a good day.
The heading image was inside the cardboard case. That’s a 100mm x 200mm cutting board and sealed plastic box. Let’s tally up the costs if purchased separately; in this case $ 15 and $ 7 respectively.

Then the first layer of the contents; nippers with protective cover, straight tweezers, curved tweezers, and a plastic gluing aid. Disregard the last named as a gimmick, but the others amount to $ 39, $ 5, and $ 15 respectively. Here’s the prime product I went in for – the nippers.

When that sping goes, and go it will, I can spring it again.

The next layer contains a hobby knife, two screwdrivers, three decent small files, and a sanding stick. Call this $ 15, $ 18, $ 10, and $ 14.

Final layer is an assortment of sanding sticks in various grades and a wooden backing block. There is also a 10ml bottle of cement – medium thickness. $ 10 and $ 7.
All told I count up $ 155 of goods for a cost of $ 30. I’ve introduced the case to my travelling model kit and rehoused some of the ratty tools from that.
What the hell one does with the yellow plastic plate is anybody’s guess. The instruction sheet makes it no clearer. In any case I feel the rest of the box is as good as Christmas.
