Well, the Caudron Renault is ready to join the Jagdschwader of the RRAAF armed with the new Ruritanian secret weapon – the rocket. Fussy types will want to know if this is an air-to-air missile or and air-to-ground missile and the answer is yes. After the pilot presses one of four buttons the rocket no longer is his responsibility and he can just sit back and watch the fun. Pilots are encouraged to do this after they have taken off but before they land.

The CR 714 is not over-powered. It has a good deal of wood in the construction and is therefore not particularly aerobatic. But it is simple to fly and with four rockets it is as dangerous as hell. Ruritania may not exactly expect every man to do his duty, but they are rather hoping that if the pilots see an enemy they will let fly with something.

The Mr. Craft kit is not the most basic model I have built but I think it can be counted as one of the crudest. I am glad of the type, but this kit is nowhere near the quality of the Fairy Fulmar that they put out earlier. Still, at $ 6.80 I think Ruritania has gotten its money’s worth.
