Mitsubishi Peggy – Part Nine – Trials Ship

I wish to compliment Hasegawa on this model – it has been one of the most well-balanced builds undertaken in a long time.

The glide bomb fitted perfectly into the open bomb bay – the doors of which were made to swing inwards . All this was provided in the kit parts and was very simple to accomplish.

The other delight that was discovered is that the model’s dimensions will let it sit inside my display cabinet shelves alongside the Dinah. In fact there should be lots of room for other Japanese prototypes before I have to consider how to display an Emily flying boat.

Note: Given the simple concept of a glide bomb it’s surprising and somewhat of a relief that the Axis powers did not make more use of the things when they encountered naval targets.
