That’s ” vintage classic ” as it says on the box, but the VC connotation is not at all inappropriate for many of the re-issued Airfix kits. They can really be prize winners.
This was a kit that nagged the eye in the shop for a number of months until I had completed the Airfix Bristol Buldog – a kit from the same series. I found it such a delight that i ran out and secured my Demon before the stocks disappeared.
The box art is not authentically original, as Scalemates shows. The original 1960’s art and graphics were a lot better. This pink abortion is the result of someone in the art department’s eyes that are skew-whiff. The pink tint doesn’t extend to the colour call-out printed on the back of the box. Thank goodness…

Inside, a bag. And inside the bag a series of sprue trees knocking upon each other. No problem here, as there are no clear parts to suffer.
As much burring, flash, and distorted feed as you might well expect for your $ 17. But all the parts there, including the crew.
Classic Airfix diagrams and a really good set of new decals.
I do not decry building this as thousands of other youngsters might have – those markings are presumably real and certainly glorious. They scream Art Deco.
