And all on the same model. Aren’t we a special modeller, then, eh?
And these can all be produced by one spray-gun or brush. The most exciting times are when you try for one and get another. This is the point where your education comes in…because that is what has given you your vocabulary. If you know startling words, now is the time to say them.
I have recently made a paint job like this, but not deliberately. I suspect I was a bit sanguine about the thinner and the air pressure. Fortunately for me, the bits that needed to be gloss were shiny and the bits destined to be flat were not. I achieved decalage semi-successfully and then rescued my pride with a coat of matt varnish. And chalked another note into the shop records.
At least all the finishes were clear with no milkiness and no dust. There were no white spots. Everything dried in the time it was designed for. Had it all been destined for a gloss show-car finish I would have been reduced to stripping it and mushing onwards.
The rattle can racks may get a look over next time.
