Ahem. This may be difficult. I need to change my mind without giving the impression I was ever wrong.
I mean, I don’t want to rend the fabric of the universe, now do I? But I need to change my mind about the Polish model moulding business.
I once was of the opinion that the Poles were hopeless with this sort of thing. I’d purchased a model of a jet fighter plane made by Mister Craft and it was an ill-fitting crude lump of a kit. I persevered with it and eventually ended up with a result, but vowed to throw it in the bin as soon as I could sit down and replace it with a Tamiya model of the same airplane. My opinion of Mister Craft was as low as their prices…
Then I got a low-priced Mister Craft kit of an interwar bomber that had previously been released by Heller…and it built up wonderfully well. The decals were terrible, but the structure was good.
Then I built a Mister Craft kit with good decals but crude structure – and my critical faculties were all over the shop. Now I’ve done a Mirage model of an armoured car and am working on this PZL…and the results are all that I could wish for. These firms really have turned out a first-class model, even if the packaging and graphics are still somewhat agricultural.

The PZL is on the jig for the landing gear and struts and the precision with which these fit is everything that a major maker could do. First-class.
