De Havilland Beaver – Part Three – Beaver On A Stick

When you’re a Cub Scout in the Kootenays, you’ll eat anything…

The De Havilland Beaver a’building is using three of my favourite things; Mr Color No. 208 duraluminium paint, 3M double sided foam tape, and plastic clamps from Bunnings.

The Airfix kit is slotting together nicely, though you need your wits about you if you choose the float-plane version, It is strut-juggling time as you put the pontoons on.

But once it is together and set you can use the 3M double sided tape to grasp the firewall firmly and you’ve got a handle for all the painting. Then the Bunnings clamp to make a stand for drying.

Then stand back and let the darn thing dry, eh?
