The 1/144 scale model is a wonderful thing – but you have to remember that it is an abstract of a thumbnail sketch of a miniature painted on ivory.
The average person will not be able to rig the hydraulic hoses in the wheel wells. The person who can do this is watched carefully by paid attendants.

The Sukhoi has lived up to all my expectations, but has taught me to adjust these for the next few kits. I will try for a spray paint job next time and not try to glue the model to the stand with 5-minute epoxy. Double sided foam tape will be the go.

The decals are slow, but sturdy. They went on fine over a glossed surface and have withstood coating from a Tamiya spray can of matting varnish without disintegrating.

Even the canopy yielded to the bow pen treatment.

I am greatly encouraged for the next seven models in the Fifty Cent Series.
