I suspect there might be as many debates about PRU Blue as there are about Azure Blue but since I have been given a ready-mixed bottle of Testor’s Model Master I do not care to argue.
This model also lets me use two other MM enamels thinned with lacquer thinner. The choice of type was dictated by the workshop temperature – in Western Australia in summer this veers between horribly hot and impossibly hot, with warmer spells in between…

I am following a new practice of a pencilling in the camouflage pattern onto the undercoat and then laying the lighter first colour in between the lines. MM sprays well and you can get an even coverage within two coats. This leaves space for putty worm masking and then the darker green.

There will be a gloss coat sealing the Model Master after a day’s curing, and eventually a semi-matt varnish to tie all the stripes and decals together in one surface texture.
