I have spent an afternoon labelling boxes.
The basic need was to identify the contents of cardboard grazing boxes that contain the larger model aircraft I build. These were too big for IKEA shelves and too difficult to dust – I needed to keep them covered, the boxes were a good solution, and both locally available and cheap. Come to think of it, that describes me, too…
The labels were printed on A4 sheets from Officeworks – 8 per page. I used a calligraphy pen to write the names of the aircraft in each box.
The next stage of organisation will be to illustrate each model in the collection with a couple of ” beauty ” shots on a studio table set. I tried this before but selected a dull backdrop that makes everything look sad. White paper this time, and careful lighting. I have already experimented with an older camera but if I want this to look good it will need my newest one.
I am hoping to make a collection catalogue as a bound volume.
