Please welcome the latest US Navy jet to Stein’s Air World.
The end result for this 60’s Airfix kit has been nothing short of amazing. Whatever flaws it had at birth, it still has, but they have been hidden.
The early nature of the aircraft is evident, as is the early nature of the kit. neither of these have been corrected by any after-market footling – the result is SOOTB.
Even the decals that went on so well were the originals – bleached by a week taped inside the lounge room window. I wondered what delivery drivers who called at the door would have thought upon seeing the sheet.
This will form part of a mini-diorama on a Italeri US Carrier deck platform. I do hope figures and perhaps a deck vehicle will show up in our local shops.
