A nearly good model…
The basic structure of CF-CTD is fine – Italeri make a first-rate moulding of this aircraft. The military modeller who makes a D-Day C-47 will be delighted with the result. The invasion stripes should make for a spectacular OOTB build – even though research seems to show that the real stripes were a lot cruder than small-scale decals.

For my part, the Norcanair livery was easy – the decals were home-printed and the NCA blue was easily mixed; I have enough for several more bush airline planes. The falling down came with the aluminium for the wings.

I suspect the paint reacted with the undercoat and somewhat frosted itself – reacting after spraying to give a clouded appearance. I have to accept that a feeder airline line Noranair flying to the Northwest Territories would not really have a pristine appearance, anyway.

It will just have to sit on the apron at Wet Dog Regional and outface the critics. I will make it a set of loading steps.
