Am I A Modeller?

Or a Tetris player?

This thought occurred as I was shifting cabinets and restringing electric lights in my workshop. There was no real need to do so – the space produced perfectly good scale models prior to this. But, like a woman moving a piano about the living room, I just could not stop myself.

It’s all about maximising your use of the elements you already possess. While getting rid of as many of them as you can. Marie Konto on a swivel mount.

I realised that my drafting table – a wonderful resource for kit building – has been idle for a decade, serving only as a surface upon which a bookshelf rested. I measured up the space, cast my eye to a different direction, and restored it to service. I now get a more comfortable chair to sit on as well.

If the SMCWA can add new cabinets and re-house all its models, there’s nothing to stop me being equally creative. But garrrr, the dust and the fiddly work…
