In this case, this kit has done a runner from the hobby shop’s stand at the WASMex show.

When it was on the stand – and neglected by the crowd – it was priced down from $ 35 to $ 15. To be honest, I missed it as well, so it is just dumb luck that it was returned to the shelf stock with the specials sticker still attached. I saw it on the regular shop shelf and pounced.

it’s not the first Dewoitine 500-series aircraft model in my collection – there is a D.510 in Spanish republican colours there already. This is very similar, differing chiefly in the position of he armament.

There are three variants in the decal sheet – in my case I will choose the Aeronavale version in a light overall grey. The sprue trees provide several options of propeller and guns.

It is worthwhile noting that some mouldings of this kit can be slightly troublesome in the landing gear struts, but nothing that a little plastic strip cannot deal with.
