I mean on a modelling bench. Never mind the bedroom or the toilet…

In five minutes you can:

a. Finally rescue that paint that settled in the jar. Dilute it, stir it, clean the cap and threads. Label it properly.

b. Get fresh blades on your knives and safely dispose of the dull old ones.

c. Clean the swarf out of your files and your sanding blocks. BluTack or artist’s eraser will do it, as will masking tape.

d. Look out the paints you need for your build.

e. Lose a part in the carpet.

f. Find a different part while searching for the first one.

g. Varnish the dodgy decals for later.

h. Write an anonymous note condemning someone for using the wrong green paint.
