Will draw money from the tightest purse.
I wanted to buy some hobby items. My local enquiries proved fruitless – the range of goods had once been carried by local shops but they’d gone on to better paying stock…or failed to sell the previous items. In any case, I was not robbing local tables of food by shopping on-line from the eastern states.
On-line sales through some programs is easy – others are like running a gauntlet in hell. You try to comply with the requirements of the IT person who sold the shop the system, but the parts that are not bureaucracy are bastardry.
So it proved, as the shopping cart refused my orders. I finally rang the firm in frustration. I could not have talked to a smarter fellow – he found the problem, promised to fix it by next week, and asked me to ring in an order then. I certainly will, and I’ll add to it. Intelligence over the phone is so rare that it demands reward.
That shop now has a totally loyal customer.
