The Little Old Ladies And Me

No, this is not the confessions of a mature gigolo. I do have it as one of the ambitions on my CV, but so far it has not eventuated – older ladies have standards I rarely meet. The Kama Sutra book is still a theoretical text…

But I do manage to hold my own in the little world of the doll house and bear show. It is all a case of being on the same landing beam.

This year saw my second entry into this show – an arena normally held for the ladies and dedicated to Victorian tea shoppes and fairy tale scenes. I entered last year with a film set in a saloon and cat house, and this year a suburban house I used to live in. I’ve got several more years of exhibits all ready to go and I am going to give them the lot. At the same time, I get s valid excuse to go look at the products of their imagination as well.

This year I see that I am not alone – several other males have entered their visions of the world in miniature – it can only get better in the future – and I hope more men decide to take up the art.

Here’s some of the things I found delightful:

a. The Fox And Chickens.

b. Brian’s Shed.

c. The Balcony.

d. Craig’s Hut.

e. The Princess And The Pea

e. And here’s my 1959 home. It still exists and I’m amazed at the fact that I can see it on Google Earth.
