Fairchild Flying Boxcar – Part Four – A Little Dodgy

Actually a little Dodge truck. The box says it is a ” WC-51 Light Truck “.

The Italeri moulding is fine – with too much detail for convenient building and a high-boy aspect to it that cannot be right. But as it is cargo for the C-119, it will do nicely. Halfway up the ramp and no-one will know the difference.

It is no worse than some of the things that the macho hoons drag up Leach Highway every day at rush hour. Perhaps I should put some surf stickers and One Nation slogans on the rear bumper. Or a Bundy sign.

Actually, I plan to find a 1:72 or 1:76 forklift to load pallets onto the back of the C-119. The supplied ramps have no attachment points and are just a nuisance. Plus I can make a series of supply loads for a mythical DEW-Line station that will jazz up the tarmac area of the Canadian Pacific Air Cargo facility. Boxes of refrigerators and ice lollies…
