I must stop listening to people speaking. It leads to thought. And that leads to trouble.

The recent model exhibition being a case in point. At the display hall I kept hearing people saying that they did not see as many models on display as last year and that the standard was lower…

Then I went into the contest display area and saw quite as many models as heretofore, and they were as well made as always…

Tuesday I heard someone say that modelling in this state is not advancing.

And then I spent the entire week happily painting and gluing on my two new bombers – both at home and at the scale modelling clubrooms. They are good bombers and getting better.

Like I say, I am going to stop listening.
