The Marauder had a strange reputation for quite some while but eventually setled down as a very capable ship in the European theatre. It also featured in several Pacific battles and guarded Alaska as well.
I was tempted to attach a torpedo to this Marauder just to show that it had been done – and I have the photos to prove it – but I realised that the plane going to Alaska would not have been armed. So it is just in a clean configuration.
Close observers may descry an unusual colour to the propeller blades – a sort of gunmetal silver. I have a photograph that bears this out – I suppose they just did not have time to paint everything as they sent them out. Or perhaps they were replacement props just before the flight.

Nice transparencies on this old kit – easy to work with and not too bad a fit. I think they are the newest part of it.
