Washing and tidying up the Special Hobby 1:72 kit today, I left it to dry in the warm workshop. WHen it came time to repack it for he club tomorrow, I noticed a pair of amazing things:
- There is a spare seat.A little one, but there it is.

2. There is a big rectangular hole in the starboard side of the fuselage.

This was too big a hole to be a short-shot. And Lo! on the instructions it has turned up with a clear styrene cover. I suspect it is a hatch and that someone is supposed to crawl into it and sit on the tiny seat inside.
Googlexploration has turned up a preserved plane in the Swedish air museum. They bought some in 1940 and this hatch and window appears on their example. Apparently it is to provide for aerial reconnaissance – either a fixed camera or a small Swede inside with a Hasselblad.
I have therefore looked out the Swedish decals that have been spare from 3 or 4 Airfix kits. No need to make a decision just yet…
