It was the modelling club AGM and a notice had gone out telling people to bring models for sell or swap. Like a fool I did not remember this and rocked up for the AGM barbeque with hardly any money in my pocket. These virus days we pay for most things with credit or debit cards and forget that we need a reserve of cash for emergencies.
A model sale with no cash is an emergency.

Fortunately I did have some pocket coins, and was able to scrape together enough for one purchase – a re-bagged Hasegawa kit of a Japanese fighter. Yes, that’s $ 5.00 on the Glad zip-lock bag and yes, everything is in there. And everything looks fine.

The plastic is a disconcertingly dark grey but finely polished. There is very little or no flash and the canopy is crystal-clear.

The decals look good, still, and there is an extra stripe I must investigate.

The instructions are all in English, but the sentiments are intended for a home market.

Never mind, this is going to be a fun kit to build, and for $ 5.00 I can consider that I did have fun at the fair.
