Lockheed CT-133 Silver Star – Part One – The Brand I Trust

Let me start out by disclaiming any business connection with the Italeri company – or with any of their distributors or retailers. I am just a customer – but I am a satisfied customer. I have never had a product from Italeri with which I was unhappy.

You may deplore my skills and expertise as you will – judge me however you like. Feel superior or otherwise if you wish. But Italeri does it for me.

Their plastic feels good – neither too soft not too brittle. Their moulds rarely have any flash or burring. All the parts are there. The instructions are clear and easy to decipher. The decals are superb. The choice of subjects is wide enough that I can graze through and find nourishment. They have been wise enough to adopt and adapt from other people’s original designs and this brings me things I might otherwise have missed. I wish them all success.

You may be different – you might wish to build more precise or detailed kits and be able to pay much more for them. You may demand a level of rivet-counting precision to which I do not aspire. You may be in competition with others of your ilk – good luck. I wish you all the photo etch brass and resin aftermarket parts that your bank account can afford. I’ll be the one in the corner with the Lockheed CT-133.
