Doesn’t it seem that you spend 80% of your time on Earth waiting?
As a kid you spend time waiting to grow up and as you do you spend hours in queues, traffic, and meetings. When you are at home you spend time waiting for family members to be ready to go out.
When you’re spray painting you spend hours waiting for the temperature to either rise or fall, and for things to either dampen down or dry out. Offend the gods of spray painting by being careless or too eager and you’ll be punished.
Summer at 37º stops the business – also winter when it falls to 20º. It’s best to have more jobs that need doing on the bad days so that you’re not just sitting around. Beware starting a dozen kits, though, as they’ll all be due for some stage at the same time and you’ll be tempted to hurry through.
It was never thus with brush work. The figure painters with A/C can suit themselves all year round…I suspect the doll house ladies and the train builders are in equally good shape. Until they decide to buy that first eBay airbrush…
