My old nemesis – three-coloured camouflage – rears its attractive head again.
This is a love-hate relationship. I do love the way the planes look once they are successfully painted and I do hate the extra work to get to that stage. The ones that have either a fracture pattern or a swooping one are the easiest to deal with – the artistic ones where they try to make things look like leaves or field furrows are painful. There is only so much you can do in 1:72 scale with eraser putty.
In addition, the Revell design of struts joined together with a portion of lower wing can be a blessing or a curse, depending upon how you regard it. I am taking it for the former as it makes one less error in the setup of the wings. It would be disturbing in a larger scale.
