CT-155 Hawk – Part Two – First Mistake

First mistake was not reading the colour call-out fine print – and painting the wheel wells the wrong colour.

A tiny print panel says they are all white inside. I painted them grey, same as the cockpit. ( The cockpit is correct. )

Fortunately this can be taken to mean I have primed them with the grey paint…and can paint them white with a clear conscience. This is my let-out. If it is the only mistake for this kit I have committed it at a convenient point.

May I record my approval of the design decision to mould the tail as a one-piece on one fuselage half. It is a thin tail and would be weak if they tried to do it with the traditional half on each side. I can easily cope with the small gap that is created when the fuselage is joined.
