Of which i am collecting more and more each week…
What the devil do I do with them? I’ve been in the habit of throwing them into the trash after I finish a build – minus the spare parts, of course. In some instances chopped up as I progress through the box, but in some cases just as they came out of the mould.
Part of me revolts against this – it seems such a wasteful procedure. All the material and all the heat used to melt the styrene and force it into the moulds. And then to be chucked away.
Surely there should be some form of plastic re-melter oven available to hobbyists to allow them to brick up the sprue trees from their build. Quite what you could pour them into – or force the molten plastic into with a small lever press – is a matter for debate. I would accept a basic mould that made lego-like blocks for further play.
