The Songs Of The Modeller

There should be songs, anthems, or hymns that feature the scale modellers of the world. Something that celebrates life in miniature.

They could include the march of the hobby shop, the airbrush sonata, and the after-market aria. The last-named would be saved for the encore and would cost roughly the same price as the rest of the music.

Small scale armour modellers would be best for the backing and undertones. They are used to darker colours and drabber finishes and the ones that make tracks are used to repetitive movements. They have a lot of oompah in them.

The higher melodies would go to the aero-modellers – soaring above the orchestra. Occasionally they would attempt a Czech melody but the two halves would not fit together well…

The hot rod builders would have the colourful passages and the freedom to go off on tangents. They are the jazz musicians of modelling anyway.

It’s not yet been decided where the figure modellers will fit in. Possibly solo passages, if they can get the paint to stick.
