Bellanca Pacemaker – Part Two – Windows Of The Soul

If this were an Academy kit it would be windows of the Seoul. Thank you, thank you. Here all week. Try the veal.

The missing windows ( a puzzle in philosophy – if windows are missing portions of the fuselage but they are not missing, are they missing? Answers third tub left in the Agora. Look for the lamp. ) in the Bellanca fuselage were marked out clearly inside the plastic.

Dora Wings plastic is ever so slightly soft and it was easy to drill and cut out the rough shapes. Then files cleaned up the sides and the clear plastic windows supplied could be glued in. It would have been hell to try to fit the clear parts flush in the apertures, but that wasn’t the intent of the moulders anyway. As there was ano plastic window supplied for the wing light, I left it closed.

Dora Wings are not quite as precise as they might be – I noted faint mis-registration for one sprue tree that supplies tail parts. A little sanding work should hide it.

Note how neat and how hidden the interior will be when we’re all buttoned up. The cockpit sits in recessed slots in both the fuselage sides and the rather thick dorsal piece – the fit is precise and snug and it means that there will be great deal of strength in the finished fuselage.
