I need ground vehicles for a new airfield I am contemplating. This one will be in eastern Europe post-war, so there are any number of vehicles possible.
The first one will be a German general service V3000S two-axle type. It appears to have originated in the Ford factory – possibly in Köln. The kit itself is from IBG in Poland – the first of their 1:72 models I have tackled. Their 1:35 tankette was a delight, so I have some confidence in this smaller scale.

There are a surprising number of sprue trees and spare parts on them – I count alternate bonnets, frames, axles and springs, and cargo box. In my case I’ll build the box art version without the Wehrmacht extra fuel can but in civilian livery. The spare parts will always come in handy elsewhere.

Hardly any flash at all, and the gates on the sprue trees are so precise that the smallest parts can all be separated without distortion. There are PE parts, and the clear windscreens look to be simply perfect. Hope I don’t curse myself by that… The decal sheet is nice, but irrelevant – the instructions very clear, with one of those digital previews at the end to show you where the titchy bits actually go.
