But there’s more than one kind of luck…
Sold to Bulgaria by the Czechs, relegated to training duties even in that air force, and out for a four-plane mission in 1944 when American B-24 Liberators approached Bulgarian air space after attacking Ploesti. They were unable to catch most of the bombers but at least one B-24 crashed in a lake and a Bulgarian pilot was credited with the downing.

The RS kit has proved to be a superb little build – despite the limited run nature of this sort of moulding. The details were all that was needed and the fit was precise.

Even the landing gear legs went on straight and had enough purchase to become sturdy.

The Bulgarian markings went on perfectly first time, so the kit was finished well within the week allotted to it.

I guess the Bulgarian and I had good luck and the B-24 crew had the other sort.
