My friend, Warren Hughes, gave me four 1:72 scale kits in the months before he died.
He knew he would not get to them, and it was my honour to complete three of them before his passing and show him how well they came out. We were both pleased with the results. This last kit has waited for a year or so before I could think of a suitable way to build it.

Not that there are not dozens of choices – the 47 was used in military and civilian roles all over the world. In my case I am going to build one of the original batch purchased by Israel.

The search for suitable illustration has been difficult – one old black and white photo on the net and an advertisement for Iskra decals that has a colour drawing. Fortunately the aircraft was not overly-marked during service.
I know the Italeri kit of old, having done it in civil markings – delicate but delightful. The new one is destined for the big local scale model exhibition next year – assuming it will still be held.
