I really should hie myself back to the hobby shop that supplied this Valom model and see if they have any more inter-war British aircraft.
This one has proved delightful. SOOTB, and grateful for the opportunity to do it. The moulding was fine and the decals superb.

I did not even object to the W/T notifications scattered around the control surfaces – they prompted me to google up the meaning. They went on as easily as dotting i’s on a page.

The little feet across the main spar were a bit more of a worry but in the end rolled off the backing paper sideways and brushed down successfully.

The main landing gear struts could have been a pain but the trick of pinning them contribute enough support to allow the lateral struts to be cemented on after the main joint had set.

Is it too clean? Yes. Am I going to dirty it up? No. I love the clean duralumium look of this model and will sacrifice award-winning gunge for clean charm.
And for once the landing lights look like they should.
