I’ve been fortunate enough to see scale models of different things in military museums all over the world.
I suppose there were a few in North America when I was a kid, but most of the ones I remember have been seen in Britain and on the continent. There are a few here in Australia, but scattered.
However, I cannot remember seeing a museum dedicated to scale models per se…and as this has been a major part of my life’s culture, I am surprised at the omission. It has been a vast industry for nearly 100 years.
Any readers who could point out just such an institution? It would make a fine point of pilgrimage for a retired tourist.
