And it doesn’t come with meatballs or an Allen wrench.
Here is yet another newie for me – a genuine Swedish home-grown fighter moulded in Lund, Sweden. Box long gone, but the top and sides preserved to give a colour reference.
The plane is a well-designed stop-gap Swedish product along the lines of the CAC Boomerang. No war record to say whether it would have been good for anything, but that’s the Swedes for you. The best you could say is they never sold them to the Luftwaffe…

The kit build and detail is reminiscent of the Turkish PM quality. There will be some undercoating needed. At least the canopy is moulded and seems clear. The dashboard is commendably detailed.

The Swedish air force had a strong corporate feeling in their paint schemes and unit markings. I hope the decals will do it justice, though they seem a little rudimentary. If the roundels look bad there are better Airfix ones in the spares envelopes.

If it comes out well, I’ll nickname it ” Freya “. If it turns sour and self-righteous it’ll be ” Greta “…
