As long as you are asking the question of yourself.
One of my hobby clubs has opened a new sales cabinet at our rooms in which shops and individuals can put kits they wish to sell. The shops are wise if they put otherwise unsalable stock in at a hefty discount – the private sellers will find this out if their offerings languish. Everyone appreciates the value of money.
I’ve looked at my own modest shelves and decided that if I have been putting off building some classes of kit for months, there is a good reason; I really don’t want to build them. I bought before I thought and the money is just sitting there. Better to recover some of it.
I shall price at about 60% of the shop prices – hopefully this will clear the kits and I can turn the money back to ones I do like to make. I have l learned one lesson, but I’m sure there will be more in the future as I try other divisions of the hobby. Some may work.
