This kit was a stash buy – Otherwise I would never have contemplated getting one.
But I can readily see the usefulness – particularly for a small-scale photographer. I am hoping there will be enough surface area covered by this kit to let me take usable shots.

And it will be a matter of a lot of research. I have no idea what this type of deck looks like these days – I did visit a US carrier in Gage Roads back in the film camera days but failed to take enough notice of what was under my feet. there will be a lot of googling to see how dirty the mechanism actually gets.

The kit is actually quite large, though in an architectural sense – like the model railways structure kits. a few parts for the blast shield actuators and a hatch or two, but little else.

I do have two aircraft that could logically be seen in this setting, but so far have not been able to locate deck figures or the little mechanical tractors that tow the aircraft about the deck. It may have to be a special order from somewhere – expensive after-market resin. A quest!

Now if Italeri were also to make WW2 carrier decks for various navies, I can see getting a full set. But on to this one for starters.
