Chance Vought Cutlass – Part Three – Bit By Slow Bit

And if you rush it, the demons leap on you out of the shadows…

I have rushed it before – and I can show you the demon scars. Kits that started well and finished poorly – because I rushed a stage through. This Cutlass was not going to be one of the sad cases.

The main body of paint – white and grey – was easily done, but over two days. Adequate hardening time. The masking for the nose and tail and the painting was another day. Then the red interiors under the leading edge slats – a hand paint job done before Cocktail Hour.

Decals? A day. Not the kind of kit to start if you are going to the scaffold in an hour. ‘Tis a far, far better thing to do…
