I probably woulda forgotten it.
I will have to be satisfied with what I am learning. some of the lessons are easy and some of them need to be scraped off the floor. I do watch other people at work on the model bench and on the YouTube screen. I am aware that the latter allows for editing and will show slicker results.
Surprisingly, there are a few lessons I do not need to learn, and a few I refuse to deal with.
The former are the filling procedures. I think I have the various gaps sorted – thin, medium and grand canyonesque. The cyanoacrylates help a lot, as do my own variety of Sprue Goos. There is still positive encouragement to get panels to fit without gaps or steps, but I do not panic if one appears.
As far as the lessons I refuse, rigging is one. I know it is a good thing and I know people accomplish it perfectly, but I know they also teach dogs to sing and carve the Lord’s Prayer on rice grains. I’ve seen people who do that and I try not to let them see me…
