Sitting For Your Exams

We have all sat for exams.

School, university, the military, the professional board…whatever…we have all had that sinking feeling as we presented ourselves for assessment and judgement. Would we be good enough?

No, of course not. The fact that someone has the power to judge you, per se, says you are inferior to them – they are the superior. You have to put up with whatever they do to you before you can gain an income or a promotion, or be allowed to live past a certain date. But do you need them to tell you your hobby activity is acceptable?

A lot of people think so – that explains why they submit models to the scrutiny of a self-appointed board of judges; the hope of approval and the dread of condemnation.

Frankly, My Dears, you’ll have that all your life elsewhere in civil society…and the religious amongst you will dread it after death…so why the rush to find another gauntlet of pain to run through? Would it not be better to just not give a damn?

Do you like modelling? Are you pleased with your model? Do you really need someone else to pat your back about it? Well, if the answer to the first two questions is yes and the last one is no…

Grow a set and buy a kit.
