This year I did not holiday on a coast; neither Gold, Rainbow, Iron, or Mosquito variety – stayed home.

And built my AIrfix Christmas kit – as a proper person would. You have turkey, Santa, and Airfix – do not try to better a winning combination. By the end of the 27th the kit was flyable* and ready for the paint shop.
And Airfix had included the crew – a pair of intrepid dive-bombers with enough facial detail to make them well worth painting. The colours of their flying gear were carefully researched by looking at the instruction sheet and finding the nearest equivalent shade in the paint store.
At this point I wish to complement Airfix on the clarity of their instructions before bagging them for not naming all the colours they expect you to use for the build. The call-out sheets for the externals are identified with a Humbrol number and a descriptive name but the references on the individual pages are just numbers.
You need to go through the sheets and pencil in the paints required.
All that said, the fit of the kit is superb – no filler needed at all. seams could be smoothed out of hand.

And the crew – Marko and Miloš – have separate arms that could be engaged in holding control stick and machine gun or two shots of slivovitz. I make no judgements…
* Figuratively.
