I mean when you were a child; before you became a kewl and contemptuous teenager.
Novelty? Colour? Cuteness? Action? Or the fact that they brought the large world down to your size? All of these factors were a real thing then. Have you ever thought why they are not the same now? You are past the kewl youth and into the long slow grind of middle and old age – surely some joy in little things would be welcome now.
Well, if you are a billionaire you might well delight in things from Cartier or Louis Vuitton. Or from Maserati and Mercedes. You probably use them to display a social message.
I think that the adults who would most appreciate these toys are the the ones who do not have the income to obtain them. They still represent an ” other ” that subconsciously can only be dreamed about. The Paris end of Collins Street.
Most fortunate are the adults who remember the joys of childhood and can either give them to offspring or recapture them with collections, workshops, kits, or artwork. Sure there is an expense, but the return in joy is far greater than the price.
