The Little World Sometimes Runs Along The Ground

And sometimes you can run alongside it…

I have a spare table at the studio, and a spare ground cloth. And some old Kato HO track that once rimmed my RCAF WET DOG display. And some spare houses and buildings…

What would be more natural than to lay an oval of HO toy train track ( note the term used deliberately ) and lay out some houses and sidings and get a locomotive to pull the freight cars around the oval.

After months of eyeing eBay bargains ( and eBay shipping scandals ) I tried a Victorian train shop in Brighton. The result was a brand-new Atlas Alco switcher for 2/3 at the price of a used one and with the exact name and era for which I was searching. This is why you have a stash of hobby money ready.

I shall play trains. Not construct a scale HO layout to take over my life – play. Play like I did with S scale in the 1950’s but in a smaller size. I may even make choo choo noises.
