Well, you could avoid them, but then you’d be wasting your three dollars.
I mean the business of using the Profi-Pack parts for an Eduard kit. The difference between the Weekend Edition and the Profi-Pack seems to be masking, decal choice, and a PE brass fret. The kit makers do provide plastic parts as alternative to the brass, and there are decals on the sheet to give an instrument panel and side gauges…but the brass is 3D and pre-coloured.
The awkward part is the parts are TINY. I should not have tackled them had we not had a lecture on photo-etch building by our club expert; Ian Catchpole. Armed with his advice and a fresh, sharp blade I tackled the panels and the belts.

If you can handle the bits once off the fret, you can stick them in the correct positions. I used a cocktail stick tipped with artist’s rubber gum. and made sure that the site had the CA glue and the back of the piece had the zip-kicker. Good light, steady hand and eventually there were the instrument panels.

A whole day…
