There are very few steps to the average 1/144 kit – and if you walk fast…

You get to the end very quickly. This Academy kit was started on Saturday and finished on Wednesday. That was not a deliberate sprint – it just happened to fall together with very little filling or sanding and a simple paint scheme.

The only daunting prospect was the fragile decals. They did fly apart but I corralled the parts and forced the pieces to play nice. Next time I am contemplating a relic I shall overcoat them before soaking.

It is hard to wax eloquent about such a basic kit but I did have fun over the weekend and that is the name of the game. Plus the original effort that went into this mould and package were not wasted at all. I am good for the environment.*

- Not, possibly, the day after Chili Night…
