The explosives you see in the heading page are Soviet 250kg types – roughly equivalent to a British or American 500 pounder…though I don’t know if the fillings had equal explosive power.
They will be attached to the bomb bay former and inner wings with shackles. The bay former is the heart of the fuselage and seats firmly into gaps in the fuselage’s formers. It essentially spaces the two sides apart. Unfortunately it is a little too wide to do this well, and will need to be sanded severely on both sides.

The top of the former is bare, but I suspect it was taken up by seating or desks in the real aircraft.

The next step is a corker, though…
