Of you. Or me.
Not the body. That is something that the system takes care of one way or other. Certificate, funeral director, eulogy, coffee and biscuits. Horribly expensive, but unless you jump off a ferry out at sea and disappear into a shark, someone will have to pay up somewhere.
No, what I mean about the remnants are the models and tools we leave behind. I have seen some people leave massive piles of half-completed kits as well as ambitious stashes. Some have a neat collection to will away – but I’m not aware that there have been any organised disposals.
I’ve been the beneficiary of a paint collection and it has been received gratefully. It will be used, and as it is a discontinued line, treasured.
Our club has an excess of remnants, and is just now getting organised to deal with it. It will seem callous to some, but the accumulation would eventually force current members to keep their models away from display. It will ease when some of the older models are moved on or binned.
