Sits sad and alone in the public park. No-one visits it…willingly.
Sometimes you arrive at a point in the building of a model kit when it makes you sad. It might be the bad fit, the broken parts, or just the lacklustre nature of the prototype. It might be the advent of a much better kit by a more careful maker. It might be the realization that you spent your drinking money on a dud.
Whatever, the day darkens and the wind starts to howl through the hobby room. Rain is coming.
Put the kit aside – carefully. Go find another one to start. Or go find a drink and an exciting detective novel. You can return to the task in a month with fresh eyes and hands. It is very likely that it is not as bad as your accumulated worries have made it. There will be good points that can carry you on to the end.
At the very least you may have burglars in the meantime who will steal it and relieve you of the stress.
