For very old kiddies…
I saw a brilliant series of posts on INCH HIGH GUY recently that dealt with the various iterations of the MiG fighter. He got kits from a number of different makers and compared them as he built the lot. Many were extra-detailed from his own scrap box and scratch materials. They looked wonderful in the end.

I, too, have built one of these MiG planes recently – though it was Italeri re-packaging a Zvezda kit of somewhat indeterminate age. Not a nice experience, though it taught me a lot. I value it for learning about clear UV resins.

This Hobby Boss kit is going to be so very much better. It will be a SOOTB build using the white variant as a pattern. Interestingly, the packaging is superb, but there are no separate instruction. Hobby Boss printed them on the back of the box along with the colour call-out.

I feel somewhat of a giggling fraud taking this to the hobby club’s Tuesday morning, but I think the end result will satisfy the critics. They are used to seeing me wrangling little old dead junk kits so it will be nice to show them I can do fresh ones as well.
