Swedish Hampden – Part Three – What Colour Is Swedish Green?

Go ask at IKEA…

Or look carefully at the greens in your paint rack and note which ones can be poured together into a bottle and shaken up. This is a good opportunity to get the last few drops worth out of stuff that needs replacement anyway. A vigorous thinner will blend them all together and if you get a full bottle again you can dedicate it to future Swedish WW2 aircraft.

Or put in other terms, you might be an old maid but you needn’t be a fussy old maid.

Note the use of Mr Masking Sol Neo on the engine nacelles. You could mask them with tape if you were Pythagoras or Euclid and were prepared to sit and cut for hours. I am prepared to do flat surfaces and slop the rubber mask over the rest.

Question for manufacturers: Would there be a squillion dollars to be made buy putting rubber masking solution in a rolling wheel, captive brush, or rubber paddle applicator? They do it with mucilage glue…
